With a small budget and a conference booth tactic, we aimed to educate healthcare professionals (HCPs) to look beyond the skin and treat psoriasis as a holistic psoriatic disease. This approach ensured that patients at risk of psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis (PsA) were treated early. Typical appointments are very rushed, leaving HCPs with no time to consider underlying conditions that might be affecting their patients. Moreover, time is of the essence since 30% of those diagnosed with moderate to severe psoriasis also develop PsA.
